Men’s Probus hear life stories

At the club’s August meeting, Yankalilla Men’s Probus members sat listening intently to member Michael Coventry give a talk about his experiences from a chapter in his life.

After a tea break, they heard from Rob Malone, who spoke about his life at Anacotilla Springs, along with the story of Garnet Kelly.

On Thursday, August 21, club members and their wives and partners enjoyed a barbecue lunch at Meander Cottages.

Every couple was asked to bring along a salad or dessert, and those in attendance enjoyed sausages, lamb chops, and steak cooked well by three members.

In September, members look forward to making a visit to a hatchery, where they will be taken over the area, enjoy a light meal, and receive half a dozen eggs each.

However, that’s not before the next general meeting at 10am on Tuesday, September 2 at the RSL Hall Yankalilla – anyone is welcome to come along and take a look.
